This class is a lot of fun (if I do say so myself). You learn how to add images to seaglass to personalize your own pendants.
What you will learn in this workshop:
Using a special solution, you will transfer your choice of images to seaglass.
You will make a strand of genuine freshwater pearls (your choice of colors) using basic jewelry making (crimping) techniques.
Learn wire wrapping using sterling silver wire to complete your pendant
Finish your design with a cute silver charm.
You will also learn alternative finishes as well as other uses for this technology. It really is a lot of fun. You won't be disappointed.
Class fee includes all supplies needed to complete your necklace project (seaglass, images, ITS solution, sterling silver wire and charm, freshwater pearls and sterling silver clasp.
Tools will be available for use at class
Duration of class: 3 hours (please make sure to arrive on time)
Ages: 12 to adult (no small children please)
Definition
of seaglass: The combination of ocean waves and sand work to
create the soft matte pieces of glass that you would find while walking
on the beach. I recreate seaglass in my studio by duplicating this
process on a much smaller scale.
